My Beloved

My beloved bring me awake, Take me up to Your resurrection place

My beloved bring me awake, Cause I want to feel Your light on my face

There's a sun coming up In my soul, Lord in my soul

There's a sun coming up In my soul, Lord in my soul

HEY HEY wo-oah

HEY HEY wo-oah

HEY HEY wo-oah

HEY HEY wo-oah

There's a sun coming up In my soul, Lord in my soul

There's a sun coming up In my soul, Lord in my soul

I see the light, I see the light I see the light, I see the light

Oh thank You God I see the light

My beloved take me away, Over Jordan up out of this place

My beloved for You I wait, With You here til forever face to face

No more sorrow no more pain No more darkness weighing down on me

No longer blind now I can see forever light, forever free

Forever light, forever light Forever light, forever light

I see the light, I see the light I see the light, I see the light

Oh thank You God, I see the light

I see the light, I see the light I see the light, I see the light

Oh thank You God, oh thank You God I see the light

Holy Spirit

There's nothing worth more That will ever come close

No thing can compare You're our living hope

Your presence, Lord

I've tasted and seen Of the sweetest of loves

Where my heart becomes free And my shame is undone

Your presence, Lord

Holy Spirit, You are welcome here Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere

Your glory God, is what our hearts long for

To be overcome by Your presence, Lord

Your presence, Lord

Holy Spirit, You are welcome here Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere

Your glory God, is what our hearts long for

To be overcome by Your presence, Lord

Let us become more aware of Your presence

Let us experience the glory of Your goodness

Ghost

There's a ghost, There's a ghost inside of me

Not like those draped in old bed sheets, Saying trick or treat

Different, Oh this ghost is different

Not one that leaves me scared to death But one that puts my fear to rest,

Oh Holiness keep haunting me Oh You are my hope, You are my peace,

Ironic in a way, I’m no longer afraid And a ghost is to blame,

Oh holiness keep haunting me, Oh you're my hope you're my peace

Ironic in a way I'm no longer afraid

And the ghost is to blame

There's a ghost, There's a ghost inside of me

Not something from some campfire story, Where I'm terrified to sleep

Opposite, This ghost is quite the opposite

He came just like a welcomed friend, And I was comforted

Oh Holiness keep haunting me, Oh You are my hope, You are my peace

Ironic in a way, I’m no longer afraid, And a ghost is to blame

I'm not afraid

I'm not afraid

No longer afraid

Lead me through the darkness

Lead me through the unknown

Oh lead me holy ghost

Holy Spirit: Rediscovering the Fire Within

Forgotten God

“Few biblical doctrines have caused such division and acrimony within the Church as this.  One of the most subtle tactics adopted by the Enemy to paralyze the church, has been to make Christians afraid of the Holy Spirit.  He has driven groups of earnest believers to adopt extreme positions on the right and on the left.  He laughs as he sees neither group in complete enjoyment of the power and fulness the Spirit delights to bestow.  It is start tragedy that the doctrine which is intended to produce “the unity of the Spirit”, becomes a fruitful source of disunity.”  - J. Oswald Sanders

The Big Idea:  We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the triune God equal to the father and the son.

The Trinity is not a logical contradiction.  For God to be three persons yet one essence is logically possible.  We do know the WHAT of the Trinity: God is three persons but one essence.  But the HOW of the TRINITY - the exhaustive knowledge of how the persons of the trinity relate to each other - that is a mystery.  It is what we CAN know coupled with what we CANNOT know that compels us to worship such a great God! - Anonymous

1) He is GOD.

He was involved in creation. (Genesis 1:1-2)

He is eternal. (Hebrews 9:14)

He is omnipresent. (Psalm 139:7-10)

He is omniscient. (1 Corinthians 2:10-11)

He is omnipotent (Romans 15:19)

2) He is a PERSON.

He has intelligence. (John 14:26)

He has emotion. (Ephesians 4:30)

He has a will. (1 Corinthians 12:11)

He is a helper.  (John 14:16)

He can have a relationship with us. (John 16:14)

“Viewing the testimony of Scripture as a whole, we cannot but concede consistent, and clear testimony to the fact that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person, working with intelligent consciousness, invite love and independent will.  This fact and truth is of fundamental importance to Christian experience.  If He is merely a power or influence, our dominant aim would be, “How may I obtain more of His power and influence?”  But if He is a Divine Person, our consistent attitude should be “How can He more fully possess me so that I may become the vehicle of His power and influence?” - J. Oswald Sanders

"The fire to do in the Christian life comes from being soaked in the fuel of what has been done." - JD Greear
